Apparently: you asked for a repair be made to fix an issue - then proceeded to give them grief over how they solved the problem. They agreed to your request then resolved the problem in the manner they felt was the most appropiate.Maybe you should have 'left well enough alone.'
BTW - just because a roof is still under warranty does not necessirally mean that it does not need to be replaced. Another issue for you to consider is that you just admitted that the existing skylights were no longer made.
It sounds like you were a person who was never satisfied and managed to alienate the people who were running your HOA.
