You will not find land for sale in London. Any land available is snapped up by multi million pound investment companies awho build blocks of flats and modern developments.Outside of London you will have a better chance but beware a lot of the land you see advertised is Green belt land so cannot be built on. Many people buy this land cheap when it is greenbelt speculating that it may be rezoned as brown belt then they will make a fortune but few actually do.
Your best bet is to have a look around when you actually arrive here but here is a website which could help.
